Catherine's Credentials |

Catherine received a Bachelors degree and Teacher’s Credential in Music Education from
Vanguard University (formerly Southern California College).
In college she sang with Christian music artists and song writers such as Bryan Duncan and Bob Cull.
Catherine served on Staff as Church Music Director at Westminster Christian Assembly in Orange County, and has
been a special guest singer, worship leader and speaker in churches and at Women’s events, conferences and retreats
sharing a message of hope and encouragement for over 18 years.
While her late husband Rick Petersen attended Fuller Theological
Seminary, she audited classes in "Small Groups," "Prayer," and one that made a lasting impact was entitled
"Women in Transition" with Professor Roberta Hestenes.
She received further worship training while attending New
Life Church in Colorado Springs under the dynamic leadership of Ross Parsley. Catherine performed and sang back
up with worship leader, Don Moen on Integrity’s "Rivers of Joy, assisted in the choral directing of "Lord of the
Harvest," and performed on New Life’s "Shine Your Light Through the Window" worship and prayer album produced for
AD2000 United Prayer Track with Dr. C. Peter Wagner, coordinator.
Catherine was on staff at Focus on the Family with Dr. Dobson
in Colorado Springs for four years. As Guest Relations Assistant for the prominent worldwide ministry she had
many opportunities to share with, pray with and encourage ministry guests.
She has produced her own recording, "With His Grace" and has written a book entitled "Hope: Love’s Greatest Gift" featuring her journey of Faith
through tragedy and her anchor of hope through the Word of God.
Catherine is a member of NEWIM (Network of Evangelical Women in
Ministry).
