| When tragedy strikes most people feel compelled to run and hide.
Too many Christians stop attending church when they are going through a crisis. Why? Perhaps because we are so
wounded that we withdraw from
people to protect our fragile hearts. Or perhaps we secretly blame God for our
pain. It could be a number of reasons. The sad thing is that we place ourselves in a very vulnerable position
when we are not safe within the arms of our spiritual family — the Church. My deep seeded faith drew me into the presence of God and also into the Church walls for comfort and support during my battle with grief. I found out first hand that only God can be the anchor for my desperate soul. |

| When we come to the end of ourselves and surrender our hearts to
God, it is then that we are able to truly worship Him. We don’t worship God because everything around us is
perfect. We worship the one who is perfect, simply because He is most holy and altogether worthy. Many songs
that we sing during worship are directly from scripture. The words of God are powerful. They heal and give hope
to the heart. | |
